The Invisible Druid Order (IDO)
Web site: http://invisibledruidorder.net/ “What if Druidry arose for the first time in our modern world – unattached to any single culture or religion?” A call arising from the land has been answered to reshape in modern terms the core of truth behind ancient Druidic practices. The Invisible Druid Order calls us to honor our relationship with ourselves, with each other, with the Natural world, and with the Spirit(s). Its purpose is to foster women and men who exercise spiritual discipline, develop a constructive relationship with the Otherworld, and who make themselves useful to the world in which they live. The three guiding principles of the IDO are training of the mind, a reverence for Nature and its Source, and social responsibility. To these ends, the IDO offers a course of study to encourage people from all walks of life to become more fully present in their world – personally, socially, and spiritually. As in old times, “Druid” is not a title to be added to a person, but something that one becomes through effort and application. Monthly Letters of Instruction provide daily activities to deepen our ability to be effectively present within the circle of life in which we live. The IDO is nonsectarian and transcultural.
